This introductory section lays the groundwork for your kitchen design journey. You'll begin with an overview of the course, followed by importing existing plans into SketchUp. We will delve into core kitchen design principles, explore industry standards for cabinet construction, and guide you through placing main kitchen objects and accurately defining their dimensions. The section culminates in modeling cabinet doors and handles, exploring lighting techniques, and designing kitchen islands, focusing on pull-out cabinets and advanced hardware. We will then focus on selecting appropriate materials and creating color schemes and cover the first part of the kitchen rendering process within Lumion. This section concludes with two short quizzes to assess your understanding of the material covered, and includes access to exercise files to practice what you have learned.
